About Me
I am a UK-based American who guides myself and others in mindful living, meditation and writing. I hold two master's degrees, in Western and Eastern (India, China, Japan) thought, with an emphasis on philosophy, political and social thought, and classics. These degrees are from the Graduate Institute at St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland and Santa Fe, New Mexico (USA). I presently live in a village set amidst undulating green hills in East Sussex, England with my British wife, Rebecca Hurst, and our 16-year-old daughter, Luka. Rebecca, who earned her BA in History and Russian Civilization at Smith College, also teaches mindfulness and writing workshops. Before going to graduate school, I was an entrepreneur and principal management consultant. I also formerly worked as a senior financial and marketing analyst, and earned a BBA in Finance from the University of North Texas in 1989. I am a US citizen, and a UK resident.
